too convoluted of a story, no satisfying payoff. I waited 7 years for kingdom hearts 3 to deliver me a satisfying send-off, but instead got a 10 minute explainer at the end of a 30 hour game, made to tease something else im supposed to wait another 10 years for. Life is too short for to care about something like that, go outside.

For those watching this after the end of Darkroad, it appears that the Player character doesn't reincarnate as Xehanort, but instead, they reincarnated as the Blue Robe person who watched over Xehanort, the reason Xehanort sees the memories of the player is because of an ability that allows him to connect to hearts, causing him to mistake the Player's memories as his own, and then the Player dies before being able to explain it to Xehanort. At least, this is how I understand it, and the discussions online understand it.

Did I miss something about the Nameless Star? To my understanding the person she's waiting for is Lauriam, not Yozora, as the star spirit is all that's "physically" left of Strelitzia. Where has it come from that Yozora is the person she's waiting for?

I can't believe I had no idea of this dub video exited for more than a year, I only saw it in my recommendation about an hour ago. Also, the actor who did The Master of Masters got it amazingly accurate, I was convinced that it was Ray Chase who's doing the voice.

I have theory here after last listening to this video what if just maybe there two requirements to open the box 1: the clash of 13 darknesses and lights 2: you need the master of masters key blade to open of the box or the creation of the x blade of the x blade to bring the box into reality Just a theory though If what damo said about the box not being in the timeline yet that we were in this makes since then this begs the question what's in the box ?

Before I start this 6hr marathon - I recently purchased all Kingdom Hearts games that released on Steam. Could someone tell me if watching the Back Cover X movie that is in 2.8 Remix + this video is everything that I need to fully understand the "X" saga + Dark Road and will fully prepare me for the journey ahead of playing the remaining games? Sorry for the silly question, it's just that this whole franchise seems super complex to me and I'm new to it, I would like to try and understand the full prequel story before starting the games on Steam.

Theory time: I was thinking... What if the keyblade hurts people as with feelings? Lemme explain. Invi and Aced are fighting, and they are getting hurt even though they aren't getting actually hit at all. That's because the keyblade, said to be the power of the heart to fight for what's good, can cause pain in other people's hearts, which in turn wears them physically as well. First of all, yes. I do know you can make physical damage with the keyblade, but it depends on what or who you're hitting with it. If heartless or nobodies, they are just monsters, so all you fight with is plain determination. When fighting a friend or a person, it's a heart-to-heart fight. Just like when you argue with a person, and it hurts you in your heart, every keyblade clash with another or any other weapon makes as much soul damage, so to speak. Take Sora and Roxas' confrontation inside the datascape for example. Sora said that Roxas' attacks actually hurt him whereas only their blades clashed, and none ever touched the bearers. Same here. We don't see the blades actually touching the opponents, but they still get hurt from just clashing them around. All the times the keyblade has been able to swing through an enemy, be it human or not, it's been a lethal or almost lethal attack. This reinforces my point of view that the keyblade wears people down by just clashing it. And no, I don't mean exhaustion. That doesn't seem to exist in KH in general, though there are a few examples... Anyway, this is just my take on it trying to make any sense at all from this wicked series where nothing on screen makes sense (people not getting really hurt, for example). If I'm wrong, someone better change my mind, or Nomura had better do it himself. I know it's a family-oriented series, but Disney doesn't hesitate hurting people visibly enough for the audience to have a proper sense of stake and seriousness. That's all I think.

Okay, so Nomura wants you to voice the character yourself, and thats why they dont speak at all. Clever, but stupid. I love Hogwarts Legacy's approach, where your custom made character has full voice acting. For some reason, immersion is not broken at all. They could do the same thing for this game.

tbh I still genuinely wish that Missing link was more like Genshin and Wuthering Waves. Something about how Missing Link looks right now just doesn't capture the kind of amazement and wonder that I associate with Kingdom hearts. And I feel a more open world gameplay would have fit the IP so well Not to mention the interest for gacha games have been steering towards that direction. It definitely feels like Missing Link was conceptualized around the time when Pokemon Go was popular and SE was just so slow in developing and planning that they fell behind in the trend

Now the strange moment of Xehanort changing his mind immediately when confronted by Eraqus finally makes sense. In that moment he finally realized that he was not the child of destiny. Sora was (or at least seems to be).
